Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date November 5, 2026

This policy applies to Quantx websites, apps, APIs, integrations, and mesh nodes. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Use the Services lawfully, respect other people's rights, and do not place people or participating devices at unreasonable risk.

1. Unlawful and harmful activity

Do not use the Services to facilitate violence, exploitation, terrorism, trafficking, stalking, threats, or serious physical harm; produce or distribute child sexual abuse material; sexually exploit or sexualize minors; create or share nonconsensual intimate imagery; or assist unlawful discrimination. Do not use the Services to encourage self-harm or to target a vulnerable person for abuse. These restrictions apply to generated, uploaded, and routed material.

Legitimate reporting, prevention, education, research, and support must still use lawful material and approved handling. A claimed research purpose does not authorize possession or distribution of illegal content.

2. Cybersecurity and network integrity

Do not distribute malware, steal credentials, conduct unauthorized intrusion, exfiltrate information, operate botnets, launch denial-of-service attacks, or exploit a vulnerability in a system without authority. Do not evade node isolation, redirect workloads to unauthorized recipients, falsify job completion, fabricate availability, manipulate contribution accounting, or interfere with another user's work.

Defensive testing requires permission from the system owner. Testing Quantx itself is governed by the Security Reporting Policy. Do not scan or test other people's nodes merely because they participate in the mesh.

3. Privacy confidentiality and intellectual property

Do not collect, infer, disclose, or sell another person's personal information without an appropriate basis. Do not reidentify a user from job fragments or metadata, inspect another user's workloads for personal purposes, or copy received tasks into a dataset. Do not upload credentials, private keys, authentication tokens, or regulated information to an unapproved route.

Respect copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, license terms, confidentiality duties, and lawful access restrictions. Do not misrepresent someone else's work or impersonate another person. Rights holders may submit a report using the published intellectual-property process.

4. Deception manipulation and communications

Do not conduct fraud, phishing, scams, fake reviews, identity theft, deceptive impersonation, or unlawful spam. Do not falsely claim AI content is an authentic statement or recording from a real person. Do not remove a disclosure or provenance mark where legally required. Communications sent through integrations must comply with applicable consent, identification, unsubscribe, and recipient-protection rules.

5. High impact uses and restricted information

Do not rely on the Services as the sole decision-maker for medical diagnosis, emergency response, legal representation, credit, employment, housing, insurance, education admissions, access to essential services, or other decisions requiring legally mandated safeguards. A permitted assisted use still requires appropriate authority, qualified oversight, validation, and required notice to affected people.

Do not process data subject to a required healthcare, financial, export-control, government-security, or other specialized agreement unless Quantx has expressly approved the use and the agreement and technical controls are in place. A consumer subscription alone does not establish that approval.

6. Device and service abuse

Do not enroll a device without the owner's authority; bypass battery, thermal, or platform safeguards; consume resources outside the disclosed limits; disguise resource use; make a device a public proxy without authorization; or install modified software to evade safety and accounting controls. Do not resell access, share API keys, defeat rate limits, or obtain service through fraudulent accounts in breach of your plan.

Lawful interoperability, accessibility work, security reporting, and activities protected by applicable law are not prohibited solely because they involve analysis of software. They remain subject to authorized access boundaries and data protection.

7. Enforcement and reports

We may investigate credible reports, restrict an affected feature, reject a task, isolate a node, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary. Measures should reflect severity, confidence, recurrence, and immediate risk. We may notify appropriate authorities where required or legally justified. We do not promise to inspect every local workload or all distributed content, and we will not misrepresent monitoring capabilities.

Report abuse to support@getquantx.com with the account or job reference, relevant dates, and a concise description. Do not send illegal material or unrelated personal data. If a decision affects your account, request review through support@getquantx.com. We provide reasons and a reasonable review opportunity where appropriate and legally permitted. Immediate threats should be reported to the appropriate emergency authority.
